The lake
Yellow flag iris in Spring. Welcome to Lac des Demoiselles.

Discover the 2.5 acres that is Lac des Demoiselles nestled in the gently rolling countryside of the Haute -Vienne region of France.

Within its calm waters swim a handsome stock of canny common and shrewd mirror carp ranging between 22lbs to 49lbs. Eight spacious swims have been carefully placed around the perimeter of the lake. The bed of the lake consists of clay and gravel and it is stream and spring fed.

This secluded and undisturbed lake ranges in depth from 1 metre in the shallows to 4 metres at its deepest point. The water quality is excellent which helps to promote healthy fish and encourages good growth. You will find a number of smaller carp which are being grown on for the future ranging between 10lbs to 20lbs.

In the shallow margins grows oxygenating weed and water lilies to provide shelter for the fish but not enough to cause any problems to the fishing. Importantly, there are no nuisance species.

With no frills but clean, modern, toilet/showering and cooking/dining facilities available which overlook the lake and Mark and Yvonne on site to help you move tackle, give advice and provide plenty of bonhomie, this exclusive venue will offer you and up to three other companions an enjoyable angling experience.
