Following your e-mail or telephone call confirming your request to book your accommodation for your selected period, an e-mail will be sent to confirm this request. The communication will also outline the conditions of payment.
Deposit & payment
A deposit of 25% of the total booking fee is required to secure your accommodation and dates of your holiday. A direct bank transfer is the preferred method of payment for the deposit and balance. Your bank may levy a charge for this, (please check out transferwise.com).Your deposit should be returned with the completed booking form (this can be sent by e-mail in advance of receipt of payment.) Banking details will be sent with your confirmation of booking via e-mail, and with details of the date by which the remaining balance must be paid. Your holiday is not secured until your deposit has been received and cleared by the bank. Written confirmation with your Booking Summary will be sent to you by e-mail.
The balance will be expected no later than 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday; however, a reminder will be sent to you approximately 10 weeks prior to departure. If the booking is made less than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, then the full amount is payable and must be returned to us with the completed Booking form. As soon as you receive your confirmation, you must check the details carefully. If anything is not correct, you should tell us immediately.
We have the right to refuse any booking before we send you your written confirmation. If we do this, we will tell you in writing and promptly refund any money that you have paid to us. In this case we have no legal responsibility to you.
Cancellation
In the case that you wish to cancel your booking with us, your deposit is non-refundable, and cancellations MUST BE NOTIFIED IN WRITING. If the property is re-let for the cancellation period then the deposit may be refunded, less a 10% handling fee, at the discretion of the owners. Cancellations less than 8 weeks before the holiday date will forfeit the full cost of the holiday.
If you do not pay any payment due in relation to your booking by the appropriate date we are entitled to keep any deposit paid or due at that date.
We, the owners will not accept liability for any loss or damage to you or any member of your party, their belongings or third parties, for loss or damage to motor vehicles or their contents - however caused.
Pricing
We may increase or reduce the prices of unsold accommodation or correct mistakes in pricing at any time before we confirm your trip. We will confirm the price of your booking when you make it. As changes and mistakes can happen, you must check all details at the time of booking.
All prices quoted or otherwise given to you include all charges and any French taxes or government charges which may apply to your booking at the time it is made.
All prices are for the property and are not on a per person basis. Prices and booking conditions may be updated, changed or varied subsequently.
Insurance
We recommend that you take out enough travel insurance to cover you for your total stay. This will assist you in such cases as delayed/cancelled travel arrangements, illness abroad or theft. If travelling by car you should check with your insurers regarding the necessary documentation and European breakdown cover. Travel insurance can be easily arranged through insurance brokers, travel agencies or even supermarkets. Remember to ensure you carry an up-to-date E111 card for each member of your party.
Your Holiday Accommodation
We, the owners, have set the following conditions on your stay at our property. You can arrive at the property at any time after 4pm (unless we tell you otherwise, for example on your confirmation) on the start of your rental period. You must leave by 10am on the last day.
We do not require you to pay a security deposit when you arrive.
You and the members of your party agree to keep the property clean and tidy, to leave the property in a similar condition as you found it when you arrived, and to behave in a way at all times while at the property which does not break any law. You are responsible to the owners for the actual costs of any breakage or damage in or to the property.
We, the owners, can refuse to allow you into the property or ask you to leave if we reasonably believe you or any member of your party behaving illegally, or that any damage is likely to be caused, has been caused or is being caused by the behaviour of you or any member of your party. We will treat these circumstances as a cancellation by you.
You must not allow more people than agreed on your booking form to stay in the property.
